About

Personally, I can say I love what I do. I didn't always know I wanted to work as a graphic designer but after a hard year at a different college, I found accepting and inspiring people at Penn College where I plan to graduate from in 2022.

I grew up in Williamsport PA with a small family enveloped in art and music. My family has a long line of traditional artists working in mediums such as oil and watercolor; my mother specifically in colored pencil among other things. Despite this rich history, music quickly became my first love growing up as my sister would play her violin endlessly. From Bach to anything she could get her hands on, it fulled my love for the violin as well. It taught me rhythm and purpose in my playing and that each bow stroke meant just as much as the next no matter how small.

I realized eventually that everything I learned as a classical violinist was exactly how my relatives created such beautiful works of art and it is exactly what I have learned at Penn College. Just as each sound is as important to the overall piece, so is each stroke and each choice of vibrant color. I always thought I had to pick one or the other but that isn’t the case at all. I believe that my experience with both has made me the graphic designer I am today. Hearing the rhythm of The Starry Night is how I got here today.
